What are the main requirements for the Spanish Non-Lucrative Visa?

Accreditation of economic means

Have sufficient economic resources for themselves and their family members during their stay in Spain (at least 30.000 euros for the applicant and an additional 7.000 euros per family member)

Not to appear as rejectable within the territorial space os countries with which Spain has an agreement in such sense.

Not suffer from infectious diseases

Not to  suffer from any infectious or contagious diseases that may have serious repercussions on health.

What is the procedure to acquire the Spanish Non-Lucrative Visa?

1 Visa Application

The first step is to apply for a visa at the Spanish Consulate in the applicant's country of residence. The administration has a period of up to 3 months to decide on the application.

2 Entry to Spain

The second step, if the resolution is favorable, is for the visa to be collected in person within 1 month and the applicant must enter Spain within the following 3 months at the latest

3 TIE

As a last step, the fingerprinting and application for the Foreigners' Identity Card (TIE) must be carried out.
